Apply for Permanent Residence: Express Entry

Canada offers skilled workers and tradespeople the opportunity to immigrate and gain permanent residency. Candidates with the highest Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores and approved profiles are invited by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to apply for permanent residency.

Note: Candidates will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA), which must be submitted within 60 days of receipt.

To ensure the success of your permanent residency application, our licensed and experienced Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs) are here to assist you every step of the way.

How to Apply for Permanent Residency in Canada:

  1. Eligibility: Only candidates who receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) through the Express Entry system are eligible to apply for permanent residency.
  2. Timely Application: The ITA is valid for 60 days, so it is important to start your application process promptly by filling out the necessary forms through your online account.
  3. Document Submission: Be thorough and accurate in completing the mandatory fields and ensure all required documents are attached. If your documents are in a language other than English or French, you must submit a certified translation along with the original documents, complete with a stamp from a certified translator or an affidavit.
  4. Valid Passport: Your passport must be valid throughout the application process. If it has less than 6 months of validity, renew it before applying and update the application with the new passport information.
  5. Fees: After completing the application, pay the processing fees online. It is recommended to also pay the biometrics fee at this time.
  6. Application Changes: If any changes need to be made after submission, you can update your application through the web portal.
  7. Application Review: Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by federal authorities. You will be notified of their decision through your account. If approved, you may be required to pay the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (if not paid already). If rejected, you will need to restart the process.
